SXCCAA UAE Chapter History
A Journey of Community, Connection and Giving Back
The SXCCAA-UAE Chapter was formed in June 2009 at India Club, Dubai, in the presence of the then President, Rev. Fr. (Dr.) John Felix Raj, SJ, along with around 20 members from Kolkata. Mr. Uday Pachisia was elected as the first Secretary, supported by a six-member executive committee.

From a small gathering of Xaverians in Dubai to a growing alumni community, the UAE Chapter has continued to build meaningful connections and memorable milestones.

The Chapter Was Formed
SXCCAA-UAE was formed in June 2009 at India Club (Dubai) in the presence of the President Rev Fr. (Dr.) John Felix Raj, SJ accompanied by around 20 members from Kolkata.

First Secretary Appointed
Mr. Uday Pachisia was elected as the first secretary with a team of six executive committee members.

Beyond Boundaries
The UAE Chapter was awarded the rights for holding Beyond Boundaries (Global Alumni Meet) to host close to 300 participants for the memorable event held in April 2011.

The membership strength increased to 110 members from 40 members in 2009 , reflecting the growing strength of the UAE Chapter.

From a gathering of alumni to a growing Xaverian community, the UAE Chapter continues to strengthen the bond of fellowship, connection and shared heritage.
Section: From 2009 Onwards
The UAE Chapter continued to grow as a platform for Xaverians living and working in the UAE. One of its notable milestones was being awarded the rights to host Beyond Boundaries, the Global Alumni Meet, in April 2011, welcoming close to 300 participants.
From its early beginnings to a growing alumni network, SXCCAA-UAE represents a continuing effort to bring Xaverians together, strengthen professional and social connections, and contribute meaningfully to society.
